Student Awards

T. D. Baker is a school that is built upon a tradition of striving for excellence, and we celebrate the successes of our students in many ways.

Awards are presented to students for excellence in the following areas:

Academic Awards

Honours - Grade 7, 8 and 9 students with overall averages of 79.5%-100%                            

Highest Academic Award Regular Program - Grade 7, 8 and 9                                         

Highest Academic Award Gifted and Talented Program - Grade 7, 8 and 9                          

Gold Seal - awarded to students with averages below 79.5%, who consistently put forth their best effort and make positive contributions to their classroom and school

Special Awards

Jessie Baker and Thomas Davidson Memorial Awards for Most Outstanding Student -  awarded to the most outstanding female and male student at each grade level                                 

T. D. Baker Spirit Award - awarded to a student who demonstrates a positive attitude and a high level of school spirit through involvement in school activities                                                        

Noel Kunst Award - Grade 9 student voted by their peers as most likely to succeed from a teacher-generated list of 12 nominees
